The challenge was to design a packaging system capable of accommodating multiple frame, fork and seat-post sizes and configurations while providing protection during transit. As ultra-high-performance cycling equipment, the products required care beyond that of a standard bike box.

At the same time, Velobike wanted to eliminate foam and polystyrene, challenging us to achieve the same level of protection using only cardboard. B-flute was used for the outer box and lid, and E-flute for the internal components. All other consumables were considered for reuse wherever possible, including Velcro ties used to secure the frame, avoiding the waste of single-use plastic cable ties common in conventional bike packaging.
